Biography
Antanas Petrikonis was born in1923 in Alytus. He began his art education at the Academy of Art in Vilnius, continuing in England at the Manchester School of Art, the Kennington City and Guild of London Art School. Later on he deepened his knowledge in St. Martin’s School of Art in London. He came to the united startes in 1959 and settled down in Chicago.

Antanas Petrikonis‘ subject matter is diverse, as is the media he used to express himself - oils, watercolours, acrylics and tempera. Critics have praised him for his ability to respond to current trends wile retaining his unique, expressionistic style.
